Cuzco  is  the imperial  city of the Incas, located in the center andes of Perú at 3400 masl, Capital of  the Incas Empire, and cradle of  the most   important civilization  of  the  continent.
The city of Cuzco owns an  unequaled  beauty,  blending  the Inca culture with  the Spanish in every corner,  the  art in  the architecture  as in the paint and carving,  have an exceptional frame within  this.

 



 
 

The Colonial  constructions in  many  cases  were built above Inca  grounds, thus dominating the  Spanish the  Incas minds.  The history is  very broad, the  must go places are  many,  the beauty  of  the  landscape,  the blending of their races and  its art,  the  imposing  buildings and the  kindness  of  its  climate make it a place worth  visiting  and above all  a place to   stop and enjoy of  its  natural exuberance.

 



 
 

Machu Picchu   is  located  at  4 hours in   Train at 2600 masl, the trip in this (near to 4 Hrs.), being of an impressive beauty. Machu  Picchu  was   never   found   by   the   Spanish,   it   is maintained   intact   over  the  the  centuries,  because  it   has completely been constructed  of  stone. 
The place  has   an  spectacular  geography  and  the ruins are difficult  to  be  able  to  describe  them  in   words,  being the closest   adjective    "mysterious".   There   are  many    myths concerning  it, from  the mear construction, riddles impossible to  decipher  and  techniques  unknown  even  by  the modern man.



Flight

Cuzco is "The Place" to fly, the new pilot  can  realize  flights from the Watchtower of  Racchi,  Valley of Urubamba known as  "The Sacred Valley of the Incas"  (2900 masl)

To  the  most   experienced  pilot  Cuzco  and its surroundings are  an   incredible  thermal  area,   the   possibilities  of Cross Country  are  awesome, the  cloud  bases are usually between the 5300 and  6100 mts.   and the  thermals are of every  type but always very fast and powerful. Machu  Picchu  is  also  a  flying  area   but only to really experienced  pilots  that desire to get a  challenge, a  flight  above   the  Citadel  is equivalent to the whole trip.



Travel Tips

There  are   lodgings  in   the  area   with  prices  from  US$  3 to $240,   the  Tours  are very afordable.
The  "Caminos del Inka Trekking" (one of the most  beautiful trekkings on the  world)  it   is  completed   in  three   or   four days  (from US$ 40 to US$ 500).
The Trip  by  airplane   from   Lima   takes  50   minutes  ($60 OW)   and  in  bus   from   Arequipa   about  14 hours   ($20), you are  able to  do  a complete visit in  6  days.  The visit   to Machu Picchu  (1 day)  $ 60   (Included Transport and food).
