| Deep valley of the
Peruvian Coast, situated at 160 Km. to the
southeast of Lima City (35 Km of detour from
the South Panamericana highway). Rural area where the dessert landscapes
meld with the lushness
of the valley. The valley produces
diverse nutritional products and fruits of
temperate climate at 600 masl. Visited during almost
every month of the year by
the local tourism, where families and young
people get together, to enjoy an excellent
area for the practice of any
adventure sport.
The Rafting or Canotaje, the strong sport of the area, since they have a river that is really great for its practice, even though the mountain biking, cliff climbing, trekking and of course the free flight, benefit from the climate and the geographical conditions of the area. |
| The flight in this place is dynamic and somehow thermic, but different from the majority of the coastal locations, here the winds are not laminar and they are affected by the turbulence, from the broken thermals and the topographical environment. The take off is found at 227 mts. above the valley and its 25 minutes walking distance. |
| The winds usually arrive from 09 :00
hrs. and on and you have to be ready because
in the 20 min. lapse the winds get faster, to the point
that the takeoff becomes dangerous. Here
you are able to do small distances but is highly amusing
and the landings are pretty good even though the last three meters usually drop fast, thank Goodness the ground is tilled and ready for cultivation which is a blessing to the feet. |
| The hotels in the area go from $ 4 up to $ 45, the meals are very reasonable but not because of this less appetizing, the bus journey costs around $10 and the visit lasts 2 days. |
